When it was finally disbanded after Options for Change the regiment will moved to both the new 2nd Signal Brigade and 11th Signal Brigade.

History[edit]

The 12th Volunteer Signal Group was originally formed in 1967 to have control over the reserve signal regiment that were to support the 1st British Corps. In 1982 it was renamed to 12th Volunteer Signal Brigade. The brigade was later disbanded as a result of the Options for Change. The brigade had under its control the Line of Communications regiment to support Belgium and the Netherlands.[1] When the brigade was disbanded after the Options for Change its units were moved to the new 2nd and 11th Signal Brigades.
