17 Minutes is a 2018 Australian short dramatic science fiction film directed, written, and produced by Roderick Gadaev. The film is set in a dystopian future, in a research facility, Adam must decide between true freedom or the comfort of a controlling voice in his cell room, before his fate is sealed forever.
Plot[edit]
Adam is trapped in a futuristic cell room his entire life, until the automated controlling voice gives him 17 Minutes of free time. George, an employee at WorldCorp Research stationed to watch Adam, realises his entrapment in his 9-5 day job, sees himself reflected in Adam, and ultimately decides to break him out. Will Adam be able to conceive the idea of freedom after spending eternity entrapped?
