The 2016 Memorial Tournament was a golf tournament in Ohio on the PGA Tour, held June 2-5 at Muirfield Village Golf Club in Dublin. It was the 40th Memorial Tournament.

William McGirt, after 165 career starts without a victory, crept into the lead on the final day; after a save from the bunker and a par putt on the final hole, he entered into a playoff with Jon Curran..[1] The first round, was led by Dustin Johnson, followed by Brendan Steele at one stroke back. Johnson had fallen back by the end of the second round, with Steele vaulting into first alongside Matt Kuchar.
