Previous: | 2018 | Next: | 2020 |
The FIA Electric and New Energy Championship is entirely devoted to electric vehicles running in regularity events. It is entirely devoted to normal road production vehicles with an electric drivetrain, which have valid registration documents for public road use, without any kind of modification to the car thus allowing competitors to use their vehicles intended for daily use. Prototypes are also allowed if they are for daily use and homologated for road circulation within the EU.[1]
The first event of the season has been won in both categories by Alexandre Stricher / Adrien Da Cunha Belves in a Volkswagen e-Golf.[2]
En Czech Republic, Alexandre Stricher won again in Energy Consumption with Jean-Charles Huvelle in a Hyundai IONIQ electric and Artur Prusak / Thierry Benchetrit won in Regularity in a Audi e-tron: A maiden win for both Hyundai IONIQ electric and Audi e-tron in FIA Electric and New Energy Championship![3]
