Although the term "80/20" is often used informally as a genericized trademark for t-slots and aluminum extrusions, the name is a registered trademark of 80/20, Inc. 80/20 takes its name from Pareto's Law, which states that 80% of your rewards come from 20% of your efforts.[2]
