A. Patrick Imbardelli (born 6 May 1960) is an international business leader and chairman of Next Story Group. He was appointed Chairman following three years on the Next Story Group board as Non-Executive Director and Advisor. He is also Director and Advisor of IDEM Hospitality, Advisory Board Member and Advisor for Tionale Enterprises, Director of The Goodnight Co., Managing Director of Imbardelli Holdings Limited, and previously a Director and Advisory Board Member of Symmons Industries in Boston. He is a member of the Young Presidents’ Organisation (YPO), as well a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, and the Singapore Institute of Directors. From 2008 to 2014, he was Chief Executive and Board Member of Pan Pacific Hotels Group. From 2003 to 2007, he was Chief Executive Asia Pacific of InterContinental Hotels Group.

Early life[edit]

Amedeo Patrick Imbardelli was born in in Melbourne, Australia. He attended St Joseph’s Marist Brothers College in North Fitzroy before attending two years of a Hotel Management Course at Footscray Institute of Technology (now known as Victoria University).

Career[edit]

Imbardelli began his hospitality career at Hilton Hotels & Resorts in 1980. After seven years there, he joined Southern Pacific Hotels Corporation (SPHC). He became the Deputy Chief Operating Officer and Group Director of Marketing of SPHC in 1998. In 2000, after SPHC was acquired by Bass Hotels and Resorts, now known as InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG), he became Senior Vice President – Marketing & Brands. In 2003, he became Chief Executive – Asia Pacific, IHG. As Chief Executive, he engineered the joint venture between IHG and ANA Hotels to form the largest foreign hotel management company in Japan. He also solidified the leadership positions of the InterContinental, Crowne Plaza and Holiday Inn brands in Asia Pacific, where IHG became the largest and most established hotel brand and management company. He joined Pan Pacific Hotels Group, one of Asia’s largest hotel management and ownership companies, as Chief Executive in 2008. As Chief Executive, he continued to build the Pan Pacific and PARKROYAL hotel brands in North America, China, Japan, Southeast Asia, and Australia.

He has been a member of the Young Presidents’ Organisation (YPO) since 2002 and is currently an International Board Member, as well as the Chairman of the Flagship Events Committee. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Financial Management (USA) International and the Australian Institute of Management (AIM), and Bailliage National of La Confrérie de la Chaîne des Rôtisseurs – International. He is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD), Singapore Institute of Directors (SID), Beta Gamma Sigma Honor Society (USA) International, Singapore Institute of Management (SIM), and Young Presidents' Organisation (YPO) International.
