AJ Finn

From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

The Woman in the Window is a psychological thriller by mystery writer AJ Finn. The novel has been referred to as Rear Window for a new generation.[1]

Finn has cited the novels of Patricia Highsmith, film noir, and the success of the novels Gone Girl and The Girl on the Train as influences for The Woman in the Window.[2]

The Woman in the Window was submitted to publishers anonymously under the name AJ Finn, a pseudonynm for Daniel Mallory. The novel sparked an "eight-house bidding war" before being picked up by Finn's previous employer, William Morrow, who did "not initially know it was his work.[3] [4]

Fox 2000 purchased the film rights to The Woman in the Window before the book's publication.[5] [6] Scott Rudin will produce the film with an adapted screenplay by Pulitzer-Prize winning a playwright Tracy Letts.[7]
