AUSTRALIA INDEPENDENT FILM FESTIVAL

The AUSTRALIA INDEPENDENT FILM FESTIVAL (AIFF) is a film festival held annually in November in Brisbane, Australia. It was founded in 2018. AIFF is one of Brisbane's three major film festivals, in addition to the Brisbane Backyard Film Festival (BBFF), West End Film Festival (WEFF) and the Brisbane International Film Festival (BIFF).

It is a showcase of films from Australia and abroad and is also one the the few major Australian film festivals that has an attached screenplay competition.

In addition to screening short films and documentaries, there is always additional networking events and a gala awards ceremony.

As of 2018, the festival's Artistic Directors are Jeremy Rigby and Richard Lawton.
