A Cambodian Spring is a 2018 British documentary film directed by Christopher Kelly. The film profiles three people caught up in the chaotic and often violent development that is shaping modern-day Cambodia. Shot over six years, the film charts the growing wave of land-rights protests that led to the Cambodian spring and the tragic events that followed. The film received positive reviews, and won several awards at various festivals including Hot Docs Canadian International Documentary Festival. In 2019, the film was nominated for a BAFTA Award for Outstanding Debut by a British Writer, Director or Producer.[1].


Critical Response

On Kermode and Mayo's Film Review, Mark Kermode hailed the film as an "extraordinary documentary"[2]. The film received four-star reviews in several publications including The Times[3], The Independent[4], Time Out[5] and Little White Lies[6]
