A Deal With The Universe is a 2018 British Documentary debut feature film by transgender filmmaker, and former BFI Flare: London LGBTQ+[1] Programmer Jason Barker.

The film is autobiographical and made entirely from personal archive and home video diaries which Barker and his partner Tracey shot over the course of a decade, and chronicles both their journey to conceive.

The film had it’s World Premiere at the 2018 BFI Flare: London LGBTQ+ Film Festival where it was the centerpiece gala.

A Deal With The Universe was produced by 2017 Screen Daily: Stars of Tomorrow[2] and BFI Vision Award[3] winning producer Loran Dunn at Delaval Film[4]. And funded by The British Film Institute, Sharp House, and The Lush Film Fund.
