Aaryan Nitin Shukla (born 7 July 2010, in Nashik, India) is a mental calculator and the winner of the 9th Mental Calculation World Cup held at Paderborn, Germany in 2022. He also won a gold medal at the Mind Sports Olympiad in 2021 in the Open Category. He is the only human calculator to hold the mental calculation world cup, Mind Sports Olympiad gold medal, and Junior Mental Calculation World Championship simultaneously. He holds world records for the fastest multiplication of two 20-digit numbers, the fastest multiplication of two 5-digit numbers, and the fastest division of a 10-digit number by a 5-digit number.

Beginnings[edit]

Aaryan started learning and practicing the cube at the age of 5 and then began learning Abacus with the Genius Kid institute in Nashik. He first gained success in the prestigious Memoriad Turkey Open, where he won 7 gold, 1 silver, and 2 bronze medals, and set a second-best score in Flash Anzan Marathon with 52,889.

Performance at Mental Calculation World Cup 2022[edit]

Aaryan represented India among the top 40 human calculators from 20 countries. At the age of 12, he not only solved tasks accurately but did so at a faster speed to clinch the title. He scored 604.33 points, followed by Ono Tetsuya from Japan (559.45) and Mohammad El-Mir from Lebanon (542.19). Aaryan also created 5 world records in various disciplines of mental math.
