Abhay Singhal is an Indian entrepreneur. He is the co-founder and President of InMobi, a global provider of enterprise platforms for marketers.[1]

Personal life[edit]

Abhay Singhal grew up in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh in India. He completed his Bachelor’s degree in B-Tech and Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur (IIT) in 2001. [1]

Career[edit]

During his undergraduate years, Abhay Singhal co-founded TeN in 2001, heading its sales department and raised VC money shortly after.[1]

In 2007, Singhal launched InMobi inside a shared apartment with Naveen Tewari, Amit Gupta and Mohit Saxena after moving to Mumbai. They started their first business mKhoj, an SMS search engine, which later went on to be a mobile advertising and technology platform which they rebranded to InMobi. Later on, the three decided to move their base to Bangalore.[2]

Singhal spent two years in London in 2012 to build the European business for InMobi serving as the managing director for EMEA and the Vice President of Global Ad Sales.[3]

Today, Singhal is the President of InMobi and is based in San Francisco, California. InMobi is said to have raised more than $250 million in funding from their key investors SoftBank and Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers.[4]
