Adam Miller (businessman)
Adam Miller is an American entrepreneur and philanthropist, who is a co-founder, co-chair of the board of the directors, and former CEO of Cornerstone OnDemand.
Early life and education[edit]
Adam Miller was born to a Jewish family in New York and raised in New Jersey.[1] In 1991, he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in economics from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor of Arts in European history from the University of Pennsylvania. In 1994, he received a Juris Doctor from the UCLA School of Law and a MBA from the Anderson School of Business.[2]
Career[edit]
In 1999, Miller founded Cornerstone OnDemand, then called CyberU, in his one-bedroom apartment in New York.[3][4] Miller led Cornerstone OnDemand to an IPO in 2011.[5]In 2014, Miller appeared on CNBC's Mad Money with Jim Cramer to talk about Cornerstone OnDemand's stock valuation.[6] In 2020, Miller stepped down as CEO of Cornerstone after it acquired Saba Software and appointed Phil Saunders as CEO[7]. After stepping down as CEO, Adam and his wife Staci founded 1P.org, an organization using philanthropy, advocacy, and technology to tackle social issues.[8] In 2021, Miller launched LATech.org and partnered with LA county supervisor Holly Mitchell to announce the 1000 Internships Initiative, a goal of placing 1,000 students of color in paid tech internships with companies like Snap Inc.[9]
