AfroSeeds is a manga series created by Jojo Williams with art by "Mastermind Comics". A boy unaware of the world around him comes in contact with a man that will open his eyes to a world that he didn’t think was possible. A man with a past that can leave anyone broken. The world is filled with lots of secrets but the most prized possession is what is known as the AfroSeed.

Publication History[edit]

The Premiere Issue of AfroSeeds, titled “All Hope Is Lost,” was originally published by Jojo Williams in March, 2016 in New York.

In 2016 the 1st chapter of season 1 of AfroSeeds was released and chapters 2 through 4 will be released in 2019.

Character Biography and Synopsis[edit]

Amenhotep is a 15-year-old high schooler out of New York. The life that was stripped from him due to his circumstances has left him what life is about. Amenhotep feels the desire to become strong so that he can protect the people he cares about and meets a man that seems to be out of this world. The two of them will go on an adventure that may seem like hell for the both of them.[1]

Season 1[edit]

The Amenhotep a young man that is not aware of the world and it's secrets. He is a high school child that has lost it all and isn't sure how to get back up from the lost. Until he gets into a fight with Kwame to save his classmates life. He is saved by a man that has powers he didn't know were possible. Amenhotep gets trained by Maut the man with a dark and mysterious past to help him become strong. The two will have to face their demons of the past along this adventure that fate has decided to bring them together on. [2]

  • Maut: The man with a dark and lonely past showing Amenhotep the way.
  • Amenhotep: A young man that wants to become strong but isn't sure how.
  • Ama: Amenhotep's mother.
  • Gyan: Amenhotep's father.
  • Kwame Nketia: A young man that was attacking Kwadwo.
  • Kwadwo Addo: Amenhotep's classmate.

Reception[edit]

The initial run of the premiere issue of AfroSeeds, “When All Hope Is Lost,” sold out in Buffalo. It made debut at Tatsu Comic Con in Buffalo, NY in July 2016.

Notes[edit]

The series was inspired by a dream that Jojo had back in 2016, and decided to create a series for African/Aboriginal descent all over the world to have a character they can related to.
