Aftab Ahmed (date of birth unknown) was an Indian cricketer who played several first-class matches for Uttar Pradesh during the early 1950s.

Aftab's first recorded matches came for the cricket team of Lucknow University in the inter-university Rohinton Baria Trophy, from the 1950–51 season through to the 1953–54 season. In those matches, he was quite successful, scoring at least two half-centuries and often playing as an opening batsman.[1] Aftab made his first-class debut in December 1952, during the 1952–53 season of the Ranji Trophy.[2] On debut against Madhya Pradesh, he batted third (behind Balbir Khanna and R. Balasundaram) in each innings, and scored 25 runs in Uttar Pradesh's second innings, which was to be his highest score at first-class level.[3]

In his second match for the team, against Holkar the following month, Aftab played as wicket-keeper (replacing Kasim Jeeva from the previous match), although he retained his previous position in the batting order, scoring four runs in each innings.[4] His third and final match came the following season, against Rajputana, and he was promoted to open alongside Khanna, with P. Sen serving as wicket-keeper.[5] Aftab thus finished with 53 runs from his three first-class matches.[6]
