From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

Aidan Killian is an Irish comedian currently based in Thailand. He has performed seven years of different shows at The Edinburgh Fringe Festival and also in many venues worldwide.[1]

Before turning to comedy, Aidan Killian worked in banking for the American investment bank, Bear Stearns. The 2008 crash helped him discover his love for the stage.

He is known for original and thought-provoking sketches, some of which include 'Take The Red Pill', 'Free to Obey', 'Jesus versus Buddha', 'Saving Julian Assange', 'Holy Trinity of Whistleblowers', 'Follow the Money' and his most recent show 'Impostor Syndrome'.

He is a critically acclaimed comedian boasting the unique achievement of receiving both a 1-Star review and a 5-Star review on the same night at The Edinburgh Fringe Festival. The 1-star review given by Broadway Baby wrote "Killian’s pseudo-liberal, anarcho-spirituality lacks the nuance to deal with such complex issues." while the 5-star review from Bunbury Magazine described him as “Master class in satire". In his own words, "You can't please 'em all".

He was a ‘highlight’ at the Glastonbury Festival in 2016 and 2017.[2][3] For the 2017 show, his comedy set finished with a video of American soldiers shooting innocent people including children. Some audience members cried. He has not been invited back since.

In 2017, he was nominated for best comedian at The World Fringe. He is also famed for being the first caucasian to open at the HIFA, Harare International Festival of Arts in over 20 years. [4]

After a world tour spanning five continents and lasting two years, he is currently the comedy director for Asia's biggest comedy festival, The Magner's International Comedy Festival. In 2018 he brought Doug Stanhope and Bill Bailey to Asia.[5][6]
