Al Silva
AL D Silva (born 20 October 1974) is a french businessman and philanthropist. After spending 10 years at retail giant Intermarché where he succeeded an impressive turnaround as deputy CEO worldwide, he then became the President of Fondation de la Ronce a General Partner Private Equity with focus on Retail, FMCG, Real Estate & Luxury; and later in Bramble International a Limited Partner Venture Capital firm with focus on Real Estate, Private Banking and Digital Health. In the same time, he also served as expert, advising Boards and C-Suites in Cap Gemini a global consulting firm.
Early life[edit]
AL Silva's childhood was spent in Paris and Toulouse, where he got a Master of science in engineering from ESAP and an MBA from ESSEC business school.
Career[edit]
He joined Intermarché in 1997. He first served as Sales & marketing director in its polish subsidiary.[1]. Later he became country manager, Head of Southern Europe[2], Head of international business development and M&A. In 2002, he is named deputy CEO worldwide and operate a successful global turnaround of the whole company[3][4]. In 2007, he became the President of Fondation de la Ronce a General Partner Private Equity with focus on Retail[5], FMCG[6], Real Estate & Luxury[7]; and later in Bramble International a Limited Partner Venture Capital firm with focus on Real Estate, Private Banking and Digital Health[8]. In the same time, he also served as expert, advising Boards and C-Suites in Cap Gemini a global consulting firm[9].
In parallel to his business life, Al Silva founded in 2012 Academia do futuro a children educational support & tutoring Non Profit Organization where he served as co-president and main funding contributor. Since its genesis, Academia do futuro supported more than 500 children[10].
