Alaukik Desai (born 22 August 1981) is a writer, producer, and director known for his creative visual projects in the field of advertising and the Indian film industry. He started his career with a creative advertising agency and now owns full-fledged media companies spreading across all verticals including advertising, events, and film production. His projects include collaborations with brands and movies such as Adamantino, Lakme Fashion Week, X-Men: Apocalypse, Neerja, Ghajini, Prem Ratan Dhan Payo and many more.

Personal Life[edit]

Alaukik Desai was born in the small town of Navasari in Gujarat to Ajit Kumar Daulatrai Desai and Hemalata Ajit Kumar Desai. In 2000, he completed his graduation BA in fine arts from Mehta Kala Mahavidyalaya. He stepped into the advertising field with his own agency, which faced an early failure due to lack of experience. He married Anshita Aslot and the couple has a son, Rivaan A Desai.

Career[edit]

In 2005, Desai joined an advertising agency to hone his skills as an art director, from where he went on to start an advertising agency in a partnership named Leo Aries Inc. (2006). He ventured into production and printing through his own establishment named DNA in 2007 and finally formed his own advertising agency, Alaukik Creative Inc. in 2008. Under Alaukik Creative Inc, Desai worked on catalogue shoots for fashion designer Neeta Lulla and various other campaigns with celebrities including Dia Mirza, Diana Penty, Esha Gupta, Aditi Rao Hydari, Nargis Fakhri, to name a few. He bagged a gold and bronze for his innovation in printing by AIFMP in the same year and went on to do more than 200 national and international shoots in the following years.

Desai came up with Alaukik Innovations Pvt. Ltd. in 2010, where he focused more on branding and advertising. Since then, Desai has worked on over 800 national and international campaigns with endorsees such as Aamir Khan, Deepika Padukone and Kareena Kapoor for clothing brand "Firdaus", Jacqueline Fernandez for retail brand "Niraali", Sonakshi Sinha for clothing brand "Rajguru", Shah Rukh Khan for Television brand NDTV, Ajay Devgan for VKC Footwear, Parineeti Chopra for National brand "Siyaram Siya", Priyanka Chopra for clothing brand "Heroine", Esha Gupta for "Shreem Jewellers", Shraddha Kapoor for clothing brand "Khwaab", Kangana Ranaut for designer Archana Kochar's brand "Muaak", Yami Gautam for footwear brand "Aeroblue" and many more. With Alaukik Innovations, he won the 8th Asian Print award at Macau in 2010. In 2016, Desai worked for the Italian luxury brand, Adamantino with Hrithik Roshan as the endorsee and had his first ever international film association with X-Men Apocalypse. He also did several in-film branding associations with movies including Prem Ratan Dhan Payo, Bombay Velvet, Neerja, Once upon a time in Mumbai 2, to name a few.

In 2017, Desai moved towards film production with his new company Alaukik Film LLP. Stepping into the feature film industry, he is getting into direction and production with his first movie "OneDay" in 2018 along with three other movies of different genres under his banner.
