Alessio Franco

Alessio Franco (born 17 September 2002) is a Mexican/American soccer player who plays as a defender for Spanish club UB Conquense.

Club Career[edit]

Early Career[edit]

Franco was born in Guadalajara, Mexico in 2002. He moved to Dallas, Texas when he was 2 years old and played recreational soccer there.

Midwest United FC[edit]

When Franco was 12 years old he moved to East Grand Rapids, Michigan and started playing for Midwest United FC U13. He went on to play there for 5 years. During that time, Franco won 4 Michigan state championships and 1 regional championship. Franco's teams also went onto the US Youth Soccer National Championships 2 times, in 2016 and 2018. He also won 2 National League titles during his time at Midwest United FC.

East Grand Rapids High School[edit]

Franco played his Freshman and Sophomore season at East Grand Rapids high school. During his two seasons there he scored 38 goals and had 11 assists. Franco was the top scorer both seasons for his high school as a Freshman and Sophomore. As a Sophomore, Franco was responsible for 44% of his teams goals. While at East Grand Rapids, Franco earned himself MHSAA All State First and Second team honors as well as All Region, All District and All Conference awards.

FC Malaga City[edit]

In 2019, Franco moved to Almunecar, Spain where he joined FC Malaga City. He played there for 1 1/2 seasons where he got to play the likes of FC Barcelona U19, Sevilla FC U19, Valencia CF U19 and many other top academies throughout Spain.

UB Conquense[edit]

At the start of 2021, Franco joined UB Conquense for the remainder of the season. He is scheduled to continue next season with UB Conquense in the Tercera División.
