McCurdy was a NFL cheerleader during the 1996-1997 Silver Anniversary Season for the Dallas Cowboys. In 1998 she began competing in local swimsuit pagents . She won Miss Fort Worth, Texas for the [[Hawaiian Tropic pageant}} and went on to the National level. She moved to California where she continued to model and began her acting career.
Her model appearances were in mostly print ads and included a large number of pin-up calendars. In 1992 her photograph by photographer Peter Baratti won first place for Fashion Print Winner category in the International Modeling & Talent Association in New York.
Her first appearance in 1998 was as a mannequin in the television series Hang Time. She made several guest appearances on television series, (The Dating Game and That Sunday Sports Show), then in 2005 made personal appearances on America's Next Top Model, The Big Idea with Donny Deutsch, Red Eye and Jimmy Kimmel Live!.
McCurdy graduated from the Hollywood Film Instute. She landed her first lead role in the television movie Fatal Kiss in 2002 and continues to act including reestablishing her Fatal Kiss character in the video Revamped in 2007.
McCurdy has a California Real Estate License, works as a Corporate Flight Attendant for private jets, and has begun her own production company "My Gig Productions" and a jewelry line.
