Alpha Chi Pi Omega
Alpha Chi Pi Omega (ΑΧΠΩ) is a historically black sorority and fraternity for beauticians and barbers.

Alpha Chi Pi Omega began as an outgrowth of the United Beauty School Owners and Teachers Association. It was organized by Marjorie Stewart Joyner on October 27. 1945, in Washington, DC with Mary McLeod Bethune assisting and Congressman William L. Dawson as a national sponsor.
Purpose[edit | edit source]
The purpose of the organization is to raise the educational standards of beauticians and to perpetuate the names of the founders of beauty school systems.
