Early Life[edit]
Amit was born and brought up in west Indian state of Rajasthan. He was a hardworking and diligent student. He worked hard and got selected in IIT JEE 2002 with an all India Rank of 1002 amongst more than 180,000 aspirants. Core beliefs of helping people and doing things for the society have been instilled in Amit from the early childhood.
Career[edit]
Amit started his career with FMCG major Britannia in 2006. He spent almost 3 years with Britannia in various sales and marketing functions. These were formative stages of his career where he developed a deep understanding of consumer products, deep distribution and supply chain in a large country like India.
Amit's journey in digital businesses started with Times internet limited in 2011. Amit learnt the basics of Product management, Marketing, Fund raising and investor management with the Times Group.
Amit's startup journey started with Rocket Internet's India investment (Jabon.com). Amit spent almost two and a half years between 2012 and 2014, building the marketplace business and platform for Jabong. Here Amit showcased his ability to build things grounds up from scratch.
