Anastassia Lauterbach, PhD (born on *June 21st 1972 in Moscow, Russian Federation), is an internationally recognized multilingual Non-Executive Director, Venture Capital Professional, and Technology Entrepreneur focused on Artificial intelligence and Cybersecurity.[1]. Her company 1 AU-Ventures Ltd. (rebranded Lauterbach Consulting & Venturing) advises Fortune 500 businesses and startups on how to grow top-line and improve profitability with support of innovative technologies. The company supports investors such as Analytics Ventures, San Diego and Evolution Equity Partners, New York[2] to successfully build portfolios of high-tech businesses. Anastassia has been Independent Non-Executive Director with Dun & Bradstreet[3] since 2013. At D&B she chairs the Innovation & Technology Committee. She is a chairwoman of the board of directors at Censhare[4], and independent non-executive director at Wirecard AG[5]. She is one of nine founding members of Next Generation Boards Advisory Council at NASDAQ[6].

Anastassia has degrees in Linguistics, Slavic Philology and Psychology State Lomonosov University, Moscow and Friedrich-Wilhelm-University, Bonn. 1998 she received her PhD at the University in Bonn. 1997 Anastassia started her professional career at the Munich Reinsurance Company, the world’s largest reinsurance provider. At Munich Re she focused on international Workers‘ compensation, Occupational diseases and Employer’s liability risks. She co-authored „Workers Compensation. Analysis of Public and Private Systems“ (2000) and „Occupational Diseases“ (2001). In 2001 Dr. Lauterbach left Munich Re for McKinsey & Company. In 2004 she was hired to support transformation of Daimler Financial Services. In 2006 Anastassia was hired to lead Group Strategy at T-Mobile International and became the youngest Executive Vice President in this global company. 2009 she was promoted to lead Business Development and Investments for Network Technologies, IT and Products of the Deutsche Telekom Group, and became member of the Executive Operating team. When she left Deutsche Telekom in 2011, German press broadly speculated about the move. This was motivated by the fact, that Germany had very few female leaders on the Executive Leadership teams of large public companies. Besides, Deutsche Telekom introduced 2010 a quota to facilitate promotions of female executives[7]. 2011 from Deutsche Telekom Dr. Lauterbach joint Qualcomm in the capacity of Senior Vice President Business Development Europe. End of 2013 she started investing into U.S. based technology startup companies and created a boutique advisory and investment firm 1 AU-Ventures. In parallel, she followed her interest in corporate governance and started a new chapter in her career – this time as a Non-Executive Director on public and private boards.

Anastassia is a leading author of „The Artificial Intelligence Imperative. A Practical Roadmap for Business"[8] (Praeger, April 2018). Today she works on her chapters for „Artificial Intelligence and Law“, a project of the American Bar Association. She is recognized global speaker[9] in the events such as The Singularity University Germany Summit[10], AI Masters[11], Global Symposium for Regulators[12], Global Board Leaders‘ Summit National Association of Corporate Directors[13], NACD Global Cyber Forum[14]. Sie is Faculty Member and visiting Professor at Silicon Castle, Salzburg[15] and WU Executive Academy University of Economics of Vienna[16]. She is focused on how to develop businesses with support of Artificial Intelligence technologies, what risks and ethical problems Machine learning applications can open up, how digitization of industries influence businesses and communities, and how to improve corporate governance in the era of nascent Artificial Intelligence and increased cybersecurity risks.

Anastassia plays piano and is very interested in classical music and arts. She created an annual Get-together of known artists, musicians, technology entrepreneurs, and Fortune 500 C-Level executives in 2013[17]
