Arch breaker[edit]

An arch breaker is an industrial equipment whose function is to facilitate the mechanical extraction of pulverulent stored in silos. It involves extracting the product at the base of the silo and breaking up the agglomerates by mechanical means (eg by shearing, by vibration, by injection of compressed air). The arch breakers are particularly suitable for the extraction of products such as quicklime, slaked lime, activated carbon, as well as flours, cocoa powder, salt, sugar, plaster, kaolinite, carbonate minerals, silicate minerals... The arch breaker in its usual design is often equipped with an axis, equipped with steel blades, which rotated in the cone of the silo promotes the flow. It is particularly suitable for being coupled to a screw feeder dosing system.
