Articulate intelligence
Articulate Intelligence is the name for a plug-in offering NLG functionality available through the app marketplaces of business intelligence vendors such as Microsoft Power BI, Qlik Sense, and Tableau. A natural language generation tool, Articulate Intelligence was created by Arria NLG to integrate the company’s self-service NLG-creation application — NLG Studio — with business intelligence software.[1] The Articulate Intelligence plug-in takes in data, and then narrates a story or description using data analysis and NLG. The plug-in enables users to bring the natural language generation capabilities of NLG Studio into the reporting tools from major BI vendors.
Users can add narratives describing the data behind their dashboards or reports, which include charts, graphs, and other visualizations. The narrative dynamically changes when the user selects different data points in the visualizations or drills down into the data. The narratives are able to update automatically based on user interaction because the NLG tool is connected to the underlying data in the BI system.
