Arval UK is a vehicle leasing and fleet management company. Its head office is based in Swindon, a town in the English county of Wiltshire,[1] with two other UK-based offices in Manchester and Birmingham.

Previously Arval Service Lease and Arval PHH, Arval leases, as of 2017 and according to the FN50, 160,609 cars and vans to business and consumer audiences in the UK.[2]

Arval UK is part of Arval, which was founded in 1989[3] and operates directly in 29 countries around the world leasing 1,103,835 vehicles (December 2017).[4] Arval is fully owned by BNP Paribas, the international banking group, which serves more than 30 million customersWithin BNP Paribas, Arval belongs to the Retail Banking core activity.

Arval is a founding member of the Element-Arval Global Alliance, a strategic alliance in the fleet management industry with 3 million vehicles in 50 countries.[5]

Arval has been a member of the Hydrogen Hub Executive Team, an initiative that drives investment in hydrogen and fuel cell technology, since 2016.[6] Arval supports the initiative through facilitating the lease of six of the hydrogen vehicles within the Swindon Hydrogen Hub and aims to have 170 hydrogen vehicles in the town by the year 2020.[7]

Acquisitions[edit]

In 2015, Arval completed the acquisition of GE Capital's European fleet management activity.[8] [9] The scope of this transaction included more than 160,000 vehicles in 12 European countries, three-quarters of which were in France, Germany and the UK.
