History[edit]

Ascot International School was founded as Park Place International School in 1995. The school originally focused on early years education based on a modified version of the National Curriculum for England, teaching students from Nursery through Reception. The school expanded to include a primary years programme in 2005 and a secondary years programme in 2010. Shortly after, the school was renamed “Ascot International School” and became an official Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) Centre[3] and was accredited by the Council of International Schools[4], educating students 2 to 18 years old (Nursery to Year 13).

In 2016 additional secondary facilities were built and the school also received authorisation to become an IB World School offering the IB Diploma Programme[5]. 2 years later the school expanded abroad, opening a second campus in Kobe, Japan (Ascot International School Japan). In 2019 Ascot received further authorisation from the IB to offer the IB Primary Years Programme.[6]

Affiliations[edit]

Ascot International School is operated by a private company, Ascot International Education Co., Ltd. The school is accredited locally by the Office for National Education Standards and Quality Assessment (ONESQA) and is a member of the International Schools Association of Thailand (ISAT)[7].
