Early life and education[edit]

Kutach, a Texas native, was very reticent in her early childhood. It was not until a school event in the second grade that she discovered her gift for public speaking and ability to captivate an audience[2]. In 1996, she received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Speech Communication and Rhetoric from Texas State University, and she received her Master's degree in Speech Communication from the same university the next year. Currently, Kutach is a Ph.D. candidate in the Human Resource Development program at the University of Texas at Tyler. [3]

Career[edit]

For nearly 13 years, Kutach developed, designed, and implemented curricula on change, policy, sales and leadership for JPMorgan Chase. In 2012, she was hired by Core Insights, a consulting firm specializing in leadership training, strategic planning, and coaching. She remains a part of Core Insights' speakers bureau. Kutach joined Mentoring Minds, a publishing company and educational resource development organization, in 2015 and now serves as Vice President of People and Chief of Staff.[4]

Blind Spots: What You Don't Know Can Hurt You[edit]

In 2019, Kutach published Blind Spots: What You Don't Know Can Hurt You, co-authored with Brian Brandt (leadership expert). The book aims to help in "identifying and dealing with the behaviors, attitudes, and habits you’re not even aware of that keep you from being and doing your best". Ryan M. Akins, Regional President at Dale Carnegie, has called it "one of the best leadership books [he has] ever read".[5]

Personal life[edit]

Kutach is married and has three children. She has volunteered her time as a board member at CASA for Kids of East Texas and Boy Scouts of America, and she is a member of Zeta Tau Alpha.[6]
