Ashraf Abdulrahim Abuissa (Arabic أشرف أبوعيسى; born November, 23 1967) is a Qatari businessman, investor and chief executive officer of a diversified international holding company.[1] He was presented with an Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award in 2011.

Biography[edit]

Abuissa was born on 23 November 1967 in Singapore. He attended and obtained a Bachelor Degree of Applied Arts in Business Administration at The American College for the Applied Arts (now the American InterContinental University), in Atlanta, United States.[2]

Upon the death of his father in 1987, Abuissa became general manager of Blue Salon, a retail and distribution company his father co-founded.[2][3]

Abuissa is chairman and CEO of Abu Issa Holding, a Qatar-based diversified conglomerate with operations in the Middle East, South Africa, and New York.

He is on the board of the Palestine Children's Relief Fund, and INJAZ Qatar,[4] a non-profit organization focused on youth.

Awards[edit]

In 2011, he was awarded an Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award[5][6][7] and officially represented the State of Qatar in the Global World Entrepreneur Hall of Fame.[8][9][10]

In 2016, he won the Arabian Business Qatar Awards.[11][12]
