Automotive Analyst
An automotive analyst, car analyst, vehicle analyst, or transportation analyst is a person who performs analysis for media companies, financial organizations, and external or internal automotive clients as part of their core responsibilities. As of April 1st 2019 there were 5,000+ automotive analysts focused on the United States automotive industry.[1]

Automotive analysts research and investigate automotive manufacturers, new model launches, emerging technologies, and recalls issued by the major original equipment manufacturers. Some automotive analysts are hired to provide subject matter experience to manufacturers conducting market research or to financial institutions involved with automotive mergers and acquisitions. Automotive analysts frequently cover breaking news and announcements made at car shows throughout the world.

Automotive research analysts median pay was $63,230 per year according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics[2]
