AxxonSoft is a privately held software company that develops and markets video management system (VMS) and physical security information management (PSIM) software.[1][2][3] Its North American headquarters is in Fremont, California USA.
History[edit]
The company started out in 2003[4] with the development of a Motion Wavelet[5] proprietary video compression algorithm [6] [7]. In the same 2003 year, AxxonSoft introduced the first commercial product Intellect. In 2006, AxxonSoft started work on advanced Next Generation Platform (NGP)[8] to work with IP equipment. In 2010 AxxonSoft was ranked #28 of the Top 50 russian software developers[9] (under the former name ITV) and #85 in the Top 100 IT companies of Russia [10]. In 2012, AxxonSoft was ranked 6th in the top world VMS vendors list with 3,4% (~ $20M) market share by IMS Research.[11]
Products and Technologies[edit]
Intellect is a software platform of the PSIM class. [12][13] Intellect PSIM was the first product to incorporate ONVIF Profile G.
Axxon Next is the open platform video management software [14] based on NGP and includes proprietary SolidStore file system for storing the video archive that eliminates data fragmentation problem. [15] [16][17]
IP integration and ONVIF[edit]
In 2008, AxxonSoft joined ONVIF as a contributing member.[18]
