Blur, stylized BLUR, is a 2018 short film written, directed, and produced by Lauren Fields and starring Fields, Lexie Stevenson, Daniel Bruington, and Demetrius Butler.[1]

Inspired by the true story told in the Pulitzer Prize winning article "An Unbelievable Story of Rape" by ProPublica and The Marshall Project and the This American Life episode "The Anatomy of Doubt," BLUR tells the story of a college student who is drugged and assaulted.

Notable Cast[edit]

This was the first role for Lexie Stevenson, who then went on to play Mattie Ashby on The Young and The Restless.[2]

Daniel Bruington, who played Rob, went on to have a role in the Academy Awards nominated film Vice (2018 film).[3]

Awards & Screenings[edit]

In 2018, BLUR was an Official Selection for the Ft. Lauderdale International Film Festival and the Culver City International Film Festival.

In 2019, BLUR was an Official Selection for the LA Women's International Film Festival and HollyShorts Film Festival Monthly Screening Series. BLUR also debuted on Amazon Prime Video as a part of Amazon's All Voices Film Festival 2019.[4]
