In 2017 BMW launched in the Bangladeshi market by establishing a Bangladeshi division of BMW. BMW's expansion to South Asia began with BMW India in 2006.

BMW models available in Bangladesh include the 2 Series Coupe, 2 Series convertible, 2 Series active tourer, 2 Series Gran Tourer, 3 Series sedan, 4 Series convertible, 5 Series Sedan, 7 Series, X1, X3, X4, X5, X6, Z4 Roadster, M3 Sedan, M4 Coupe, M5 Sedan, M6 Coupe, M6 Gran Coupe, M6 Convertible and the X6M.

As of 2018 their is only 1 BMW dealership in Bangladesh located in Dhaka. On October 21, 2002 Executive Motors Limited (EML) was launched as the sole importer of BMW Automobiles to Bangladesh.
