Balaji Shankar Kumar is a Canadian Space Systems Engineer and a Professional Engineer in the province of British columbia, Canada. He earned his PhD under Prof. Adrian Tatnall at the University of Southampton in 2005, during which time he performed research on Satellite formation flight and published many research articles[3][4]. His current work at MDA, as a Senior Engineer, focuses on Satellite Mission Engineering and Space Situational Awareness. He operates Golden Ears Observatory[5][6] and is credited for the discovery of many transients[7][8].
