Banbury cross path

This is a village a few miles north of Savanna-la-mar which wasthe cite of Queens town, once the chief settlement of Westmoreland. In the burial ground at the crossroads is the tomb of John Guthrie who lived in Banbury Great House nearby and who as a colonel of the Westmoreland militia signed the Treaty of Pacification with Kojo, the great Maroon leader in 1739.
