Bankside is a luxury boutique hotel located in London’s South Bank, close to Blackfriars Bridge.[1]

Exteriors[edit]

The six-storey glass building that houses Bankside is owned by Realstar and Amerimar Enterprise [2] and has been developed as part of the One Blackfriars development by St George, Berkeley Group. In addition to the hotel, the development includes a 52-storey residential tower commonly known as The Vase and a four-storey retail space, which all encircle a public plaza.

Rooms and Suites[edit]

The hotel contains 161 bedrooms including seven suites[3], the largest of which is 50 sqm and sleeps 1-3 people.

Restaurant and Bar[edit]

Art Yard Bankside is located on the ground floor of the hotel and comprises of an 80-cover, open-plan main dining room, 20-cover private dining room and outdoor terrace[4]. The all-day dining menu has been developed by Head Chef Lee Streeton, previously of 45 Jermyn Street and Brown’s Hotel [5]

Interiors[edit]

The hotel’s interiors were designed by former film set designer turned interior architect, Dayna Lee.[6]

Meetings and Events[edit]

Bankside features three meeting rooms – two of which can be combined for a larger event space – as well as a 196sqm ‘white box’ gallery space that can be adapted for functions and events.[7]

Creativity and Craftsmanship[edit]

The hotel has partnered with Contemporary Collective, in order to shine light on up and coming British Craft Makers through a dedicated ‘Makers in Residence’ programme - where hotel guests will be able to catch artists practice their creative expertise[8].
