Barrataga
Barrataga was coined as an abbrivation of the Indosesian term "Bangunan Rumah Rakyat Tahan Gempa" meaning "Earthquake Resistant Houses".
Barrataga or Earthquake Resistant Houses are houses that are designed to withstand earthquakes to anticipate / reduce the risk of damage during a large-scale earthquake.
In Indonesia, Yogyakarta, a local university produced a manual of "BARRATAGA" (earthquake resistant people house) and disseminated this manual to the communities, conducted training for masons and built model houses.
