Barry Vs Larry is an Online Competition between 2 YouTube channels named Barry and Larry. It became viral after a Reddit post by u/MrHeadClick (who is actually Barry in disguise) on r/PewdiepieSubmissions, comparing Barry Vs Larry to PewDiePie vs T-Series. The Barry channel was created in the 8th of April 2019, and the channel Larry was created on the same day. Barry currently has 408,000 subscribers, and Larry has 244,000 subscribers. At the time of writing, Barry hasn't uploaded for 2 months, where as Larry is currently uploading every few days.
History and info[edit]
After the initial Reddit post, Barry quickly gained two thousand subscribers, as the post was phrased in support of Barry, and was livestreamed from Barry's channel. Then, youtuber JackSucksAtLife did a video[1], telling his audience to subscribe to Larry, managing to get Larry's sub count higher than Barry's. Youtuber Mayro also did a livestream in support of Larry[2]. Barry was supported by iFunny[3], which boosted his sub count to eleven thousand. Barry did multiple livestreams in May, attempting to achieve one million subscribers before James Charles or Tati, which helped to grow his channel immensely.
Videos[edit]
Larry has done a serious video, called "Larry Reveals Everything", where he explains how the meme started, and his plans for the future. According to Larry, the reddit post and original livestream were "just a joke, just to make fun of the whole Pewdiepie vs T-series thing". Once it got viral, MrHeadClick gave the Larry channel to MessyIndiana as MessyIndiana edited for the youtuber Muselk, meaning he had experience with YouTube. Larry also announced his community videos, and his desire to donate to charity with the money earned.
Larry has stated a series of community videos, which are made by fans, and the money made is donated to charity[4][5].Barry has stared a series called ATHAIAY (About three hours ago I asked you), which is a parody of YIAY, and LWIAY. In the first episode, Barry reviews memes submitted by discord users.
