Basement Strippers (band) UK

Basement Strippers are a Bedfordshire based band consisting of members Jamie Gilman-Lewis (Lead vocals/Bass guitar), Bayley McNamee (Lead guitar/Backing vocals), William Gilman-Lewis (Keyboards/Synths) and Lucas Hammond (Drums/Percussion).

The band was formed while all members were at Bedford College studying Music perfomance. The name Basement Strippers was created after their first gig when Guitarist Bayley shouted at the end of a set as a joke "We're The Mums Basement Strippers, we'll see you soon". The name was later simplified after their fans just refered to them as Basement strippers.

In 2017, the band released their first EP titled "The Exotic Show". It featured 4 tracks: The Exotic Show, We are not afraid, Standing at the bridge and Amendment. All tracks were written by Jamie Gilman-Lewis and Bayley McNamee. The EP was released with Geek Music. The song "We are not afraid" appears in the film "Dead squad".

In 2018, the band released the second EP "Echo Chamber". This featured 5 tracks: Blindfold, Dark side of fame, Parasite, The Stormy sea and Don't blink. All tracks were written by Jamie Gilman-Lewis and Bayley McNamee. The Lead single "Blindfold" was released early. The EP was recorded and released with Lucky boy records.
