Blame the Hero is an upcoming post-apocalyptic science fiction dark humor comedy film directed by Rob Stevenhagen and Dino Athanassiou in the live-action and feature directional debuts and written by Brandon Rogers and Adam Neylan. The film stars Rogers as multiple characters, Neylan, Anthony Padilla, Paulette Jones and Georgina Leahy. The film centers around street thug Blame, who is sent back in time to prevent a nuclear apocalypse. It is a international co-production between the United Kingdom, the United States and Germany.
Blame the Hero is set to be released world-wide on December 31 2023 by Entertainment Film Distributors.
Premise[edit]
In 2033, street thug Blame arrives in an alternate reality where the United Kingdom has managed to conquer the world and declare world peace. Soon after, terrorist Bobby Worst nukes the planet and causes a global apocalypse. Blame is told by the Eldest Elmer that Blame himself caused the apocalypse through an unrelated chain of events that began in 1865. The Eldest Elmer sends Blame back in time to reverse his actions and save the world before it's too late, and Blame arrives in the year 1865.

Development[edit]
The film was announced on December 2021 with Rob Stevenhagen and Dino Athanassiou to direct and Entertainment Film Distributors distributing. Brandon Rogers and Adam Neylan were attached to write the script in April 2021, with the cast revealed in June 2021.
Filming[edit]
Filming took place at Los Angeles, California, Hollywood, London, England and Studio Babelsberg AG in Berlin, Germany.
Music[edit]
The film's original score will be composed by Ramin Djawadi and Hans Zimmer and performed by the Hollywood Studio Symphony.
Distribution[edit]
The film will be distributed by Entertainment Film Distributors in the United Kingdom and Ireland. 20th Century Studios will distribute the film internationally.
Rating[edit]
The film is rated R by the MPA for strong crude sexual content, strong language, some violence and drug use. The MPA wanted the film to obtain a PG-13 rating with cuts, but Brandon Rogers refused to make cuts to the film. The film is rated 15 by the British Board of Film Classification for strong sex references and strong language.
