Blue Dwarf is an Internet forum founded on the ideas surrounding the small Internet movement[1]. Those in the movement believe that the Internet should prioritize the needs of people at least as highly as those of corporations. This means the Internet should be providing a better experience for its users. Blue Dwarf has very few images, no advertising, and no tracking. This allows its pages to load quickly even on older computers and over slower Internet connections. The forum's use of a single Raspberry Pi 3 web server demonstrates that a simple, efficient website format and good software design can provide a positive user experience even on inexpensive low-power hardware. The forum tries to encourage a feeling of community while also supporting free speech. Users are expected to practice civility.
