Bluejack (Poker Variant)

From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

Bluejack is much like a community card version of Blackjack. The game uses a stripped deck. To assemble the deck, jacks through kings are removed, and from there, all deuces through tens of spades and clubs are removed. To begin a hand, each player is dealt three private cards (called "pocket cards"). Each of a player's pocket cards is worth a certain number of points, which are included in a player's total number of points (Aces are worth one, number cards are worth the number they have on them). Each player's goal is for their total number of points (their "hand") to be as close to 21 as possible without exceeding 21. After a betting round, a burn card is dealt to the table face-up, followed by two community cards, which are part of the "board". Hearts on the board are points that player's can add to their hand, diamonds are points that players subtract. The ace of clubs and the ace of spades represent zero. After another betting round, another face-up burn card is dealt, and one last community card is added to the board, which is followed by a final round of betting. At showdown, the remaining players must incorporate at least one card from the board into their hand, cannot incorporate two cards of the same suit from the board, and must incorporate all of their pocket cards (which all represent positive numbers, with the aces of clubs and spades representing one). In the case of a tie, the player's who tied compare who has the best hand among their pocket cards, with the best hand winning the pot. Players may need to come up with additional rules in the case that players tie on the board and in their pocket cards.

This game has a max of five players, but six can play if there are no burn cards.
