The Blugold Marching Band, otherwise known as the BMB, marches for the University of Wisconsin- Eau Claire . The Blugold Marching Band was founded in 1918 in Eau Claire, Wisconsin.[1] This ensemble is made up of mostly non-music majors..[1] The Blugold Marching Band has approximately 400 members, making it the largest marching band in the Midwest and one of the largest marching bands in the United States.[2][citation needed] Their main performance space is Carson Park in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, where they march on the turf at halftime and perform in the stands for the remainder of the game.[1] Their colors are blue and gold and their corps song is What a Wonderful World.[1] The Blugold Marching Band is under the direction of Dr. Randy Dickerson.
