Introduction[edit]

Ha Li Fa Pte Ltd is a Singapore-based food manufacturer founded in 1987 and officially incorporated in 1993. Ha Li Fa Pte Ltd has since ventured into local and international markets through its brand, "BoBo" (/b oʊ ː· b oʊ /).

BoBo is a home-grown Singaporean brand that specialises in surimi[1]-based seafood and poultry products.

History[edit]

Origins of “BoBo”[edit]

BoBo’s brand name originated when managing director Jill Ang embarked on a joint venture to manufacture fish balls in Vietnam in the 80s. The name “BoBo” was chosen for its resemblance with “Ball Ball” in Mandarin (波波) as well as in Vietnamese.

Notable Works[edit]

In 2017, BoBo launched a web series,[2] “To Moments Worth Celebrating”, which garnered over a million views in less than a month since its debut.
