Ryan Breslow and Eric Feldman founded Bolt in 2014.[4] The first two years of the company's growth were spent developing payment relationships and complying with PCI security. The company operated in stealth mode for a year before publicly launching in 2018.[5]

Bolt's investors include a number of founders, including Naval Ravikant[6]
