Major Captain Bostan Khan was soldier in the British Indian Army, after retirement, in 1947 he volunteered his services against Dogra troops to by joining Azad Kashmir Regular Force, an guerilla force surrounded by the Sudhans during 1947 Poonch rebellion. He was a close companion and relative of Lt Col Sher Khan Bahadur 'Shaheed' founder of 5 AK regiment and close accomplice of Captain Hussain Khan. Bostan Khan liberated Thorar, Mong ans Major parts of Rawalakot and District Poonch with his young comrades. After liberation of entire region his military strategy was appreciated by Dogra and Sikh opponents. He belonged to Sudhan family.[1][2][3][4][5]
