Braden Detelich (2000-Present, Born January 6, 2000) is an American DJ & Producer known for his EDM and Big-Room style music and sets. He is currently 18 years of age and is based out of Illinois. He plans on studying Audio Engineering Technology at Belmont University in the fall of 2018. Braden's also going to be a member of the D1 Cheer Team starting his freshman year. Besides Braden's music, he is also a level 10 & Elite national gymnast, national power tumbler, national trampolinist, national double mini, and state gymnast and cheerleader for his high school (Barrington High School).[1]

Biography[edit]

Braden Detelich was born in Columbus, Ohio on January 6, 2000. He was brought up and raised in Ohio until he moved to Illinois in the eighth grade. While living in Ohio, he was a member of the orchestra in elementary school playing the cello and moved on to the drum set once in middle school. Once he moved to Illinois, following a femur injury caused from playing Lacrosse, he got into DJ'ing and Music Production while recovering. He listened to Tim Bergling better known as Avicii and felt inspired by his music. Braden saw him as an Idol and wanted to do what Avicii did. After moving to Illinois in 2015, Braden started doing gymnastics as a form of physical therapy for his femur injury. He later joined the USTA Team and competed for his club. In 2015, he competed for his gymnastics club "Kids In Action Gymnastics Academy", he was nationally ranked in power tumbling, double mini, and trampoline concluding the USTA National meet in Grand Rapides, South Dakota. He took a year off and regained his national status competing in the USTA 2017 National meet located in Madison, Wisconsin. Besides his club gymnastics, he has been competing on the Barrington High School Varsity Men's Gymnastics Team all four years. Braden competed all around but mainly specialized on floor and vault where he was the only one to perform two double-back flips in one routine. He gained state status during his career at Barrington High School. Braden was also a member of Barrington High Schools Varsity CO-ED Cheer Team were they placed at state. While Braden was recovering from his femur injury, he started listening to EDM style music particularly songs by the artist Tim Bergling better known as Avicii. He started to DJ on smaller controllers like the Numark IDJ-3. Braden then started working on his own remixes, mashups, and soon original tracks such as his premier single "Voices". Braden now has a single "Voices" and an EP titled "This Is Me" out now. He currently plans on attending Belmont University in the Fall of 2018 to study Audio Engineering Technology. Braden's also going to be a member of Belmont's D1 CO-ED Cheer team.[2]

Career[edit]

Musical Career: Braden Detelich started DJ'ing in 2010 following a femur injury. Braden started out his career DJ'ing then began producing remixes and mashups before moving into his own original compositions. Braden's musical style was influenced by DJ and Producer Tim Bergling, better known by his stage name Avicii, and Robert Van De Corput better known as Hardwell. Braden has performed at various events from parties, to festivals. Braden's currently planning on attending Belmont University in the fall of 2018 studying Audio Engineering Technology.

Gymnastics & Cheer: Braden Detelich has competed in both state and national competitions for power tumbling, trampoline, and double mini. At these competitions, he has gained national rankings for all three events. Braden has also competed as a level 10 and elite gymnast competing all around while specializing in floor and vault. He has competed in state events for level 10 and elite earning him state rankings. For Barrington High School, Braden has competed on the Varsity Men's Gymnastics team all four years while also earning state rankings. Braden was also on the Barrington High School's Varsity CO-ED Cheer team and earned a state ranking with them his senior year. [3]

Equipment[edit]

Past: When Braden started, he used a Numark IDJ3. Braden used basic software such as Virtual DJ to control the IDJ3. Braden also used garage band to create mashups and remixes. Braden would use the loops found in the library to start creating his own original tracks. As the years went on, he grew his skills and his equipment grew as well.

Current: Currently Braden has a personal music and recording studio in his parents' residence. Braden uses Pioneer CDJ-2000's and a DJM-2000 along with Numark TTUSB's and a Stanton SMS.202 Mixer for his DJ set-up. For the production side, he has a Native Instruments Akai APC-40, and an Arturia Key-Lab 49. He also had a mixing console and various speaker around the studio to help him hear the different frequencies. For software, Braden primarily uses Apple's Logic Pro X and uses Pro-Tools as a side DAW.
