Bradley Thompson (born August 23, 1994) is a Canadian duathlete who placed 4th at the 2022 Canadian Duathlon National Championships.[1] In 2022, he also won the Sprint Duathlon at the Barrie Triathlon.[2] In 2021, Thompson placed 21st at his first international race in Aviles, Spain at the World Triathlon Duathlon World Championships.[1]
Career[edit]
Born in Mississauga, Ontario, Thompson attended Wilfrid Laurier University, and later transferred to Sheridan College in Mississauga where he completed his Bachelor of Business Administration.
In 2019, Thompson began to race local duathlons with Multisport Canada and Subaru Triathlon in Ontario, Canada. Thompson officially began his duathlon career when he qualified for the 2020 World Triathlon Duathlon World Championships.[3]
Record Attempts[edit]
In 2023, Thompson will attempt to break the Guinness World Record for the "Most Duathlon legs completed in 24 hours".[4]
Business Career[edit]
Thompson is a digital marketer at the Mississauga, Ontario marketing agency, DigiHype Media[5] while teaching as a marketing professor at Conestoga College.[6] The Globe and Mail recently wrote an article about how Thompson feels about the changes in social media.[7] Thompson has also been featured in marketing and self-improvement articles on Authority Magazine, Sheridan College[8], Buzzfeed, Cyber News[9] and Thrive Global.[10]
