Brian, the son of national U21 coach Noel King (http://www.the42.ie/noel-king-ireland-factfile-1097499-Sep2013/), began his playing career at Stella Maris FC, winning a national cup in 1998 and later in a team which included David Elebert, Joey O’Brien, Shaun Williams, Gary Dicker and Patrick Cregg. Brian also played for St.Vincent’s GAA and won an All Ireland Feile in 2000 in a team which included Diarmuid Connolly. Brian had trial visits to Leeds United with Stephen Quinn and Shane McFaul, Blackburn Rovers with Eddie Nolan and Manchester City with Stephen Foley and Patrick Cregg. In 2004 Brian won 5 Ireland Schools caps as the team won the International Centenary Shield.

Playing Career In 2004 Brian played with Shelbourne F.C, appearing for their U21 side and part of the full time first team squad during their UEFA Champions League run in 2004. He then signed on loan for Kilkenny City in 2005 along with Gary Deegan where he made 32 appearances and scored three goals. In 2006 Brian signed for Pete Mahon at UCD and won the Dr. Tony O’Neill Cup, broke into the first team in 2007 and a regular in 2008 with Ronan Finn, Greg Bolger and Conor Sammon. Brian left to sign for Alan Mathews at Drogheda United, following trials at Stockport County and Hamilton Academicals. Since 2011 Brian has attended games across the Championship, League 1, League 2, Academy football, Premier League and League of Ireland games, learning from his father, in the field of scouting. Business In 2011 Brian started an English language teaching business in Dublin which brought him to Madrid for 2 years and has worked predominantly with Spanish speakers, focusing on Cambridge exams and sports. Brian had a coaching position at Larkin Community College in conjunction with Shelbourne FC as their football scholarship programme coach, along with Kevin Grogan, which included players Brandon Miele and Graham Burke. In Madrid, Brian had a coaching position at Colegio Nuestra Señora Del Recuerdo, in the Chamartín area of Madrid, as well as visiting the training centres of Real Madrid, Atéltico de Madrid and Getafe CF. Brian attended the 2014 UEFA Champions League in Lisbon between Real Madrid and Atéltico de Madrid representing SARI (Sports Against Racism Ireland). Brian holds the FAI Youth Certificate.
