Bright.md’s SmartExam software is an AI-powered web-based application that virtually connects patients with their health provider..[1] SmartExam supports care most common primary care conditions. It is fully integrated with multiple electronic health systems (EHR) systems, including Epic.

Bright.md was co-founded in 2014 by Ray Costantini, MD, MBA, and Mark Swinth, MBA.

The company is venture-backed by leading investors including B Capital Group[2], the Pritzker Group[3], Seven Peaks Ventures[4], SpringRock Ventures[5], and Oregon Angel Fund[6]
2014: Bright.md was founded and incorporated by Mark Swinth and Dr. Ray Costantini.
2014-2015: Series A seed financing completed with Oregon Angel Fund as lead[7]
2017-2018: Series B growth financing completed, with B Capital as lead.
